While November may still be Fall, technically, I’ve decided to go ahead and create a guide covering both of the chilly seasons. Obviously the two have a lot of the same sort of cold- weather pieces. I’ve picked ten “essentials” (not that faux fur or rhinestones are even close to being essential in the literal sense of the word) that every wardrobe should have. A few of these pieces I already have, and a few are just ones I’m pining after (Two words- Fendi Purse). Links to each item are in the photo captions.
(1.) Faux fur
Done right, fake fur doesn’t have to be a hot hooker-looking mess. Pair it with a simple solid top & black skinny jean combo to help it look relaxed & funky.
Kristen Blake Faux Chinchilla Jacket, F21 Faux Fur Coat, Ellen Tracy Faux Fur Vest, ASOS Faux Fur Orange Stripe Collar, F21 Boxy Faux Fur Coat, Supertrash Odyssey Coat, F21 High Collar Faux Fur Jacket
(2.) Colorful beanie
I had to cop the first one in the top row from F21. It’s a lovely dusty salmon color that looks really good on blondes 😉 Transition your beanie to indoors by wearing it with an oversized white V-Neck and blingy statement necklace.
(3.) Burgundy leather
I was really gung-ho about this look a couple months ago. I’ve cooled off on it a little, but it’s still pretty fabulous. Especially in a leather pencil.
(4.) Snake print
It’s everywhere. If you haven’t noticed it, your head must be in the sand. I have way too many other posts (OOTD) with snake print pieces that I won’t bother to gush here about my love for snake print. I’ve ecrued enough Serpentine pieces in my wardrobe this fall to choke a horse, I just need to get my OOTD act together #lazy

(5.) Ankle boots
Everybody needs a pair. Those Vince Camuto ones (bottom center) are to die for!
(6.) Tunic sweater
I LOVE the halogen ones! I wear mine all the time.
(7.) Snow leopard print
Regular leopard print has nothin’ on this delicious look.
(8.) Leather leggings
Another cold weather layering essential.
(9.) Brick red
I am going nuts over this color right now.
(10.) Art Deco jewelry
The 1920’s & Art Deco/Egyptian Revival style are truly my favorite fashion influences. Particularly in regards to jewelry. Below are just a couple of my favorite deco-inspired duds.
